My father went to Verdugo Hills High School in Sunland Califorina. During his time at VHHS, he took part in a program that was essentially a cross between AV club and TV production, where he and his best friend Frank Schobel made a show called "The Show With No Name" that was essentially MTV: Live music, guest appearances, joke videos, comedy, discussions about music, skits, etc. before MTV was a thing. This was broadcast live on real TV to the greater LA area.
